Welcome to Switzerland! Prepare yourself for various modes of transport, all of which showcase the majesty of the snow
capped mountains, the glaciers, sparkling lakes, the beauty of the rich, green valleys and flower filled meadows. Transfers
from Geneva Airport, to your hotel depart at 11:00, 13:00 & 16:00. Later, join your Tour Director for a Welcome Reception with

Leave for Gruyères, Chillon and the Matterhorn Village of Zermatt
Start your day with the highlights of Geneva, the ‘city of gardens’, nestled at the end of its lake. See the Jet D’Eau, Floral
Clock and Reformation Monument. Now relax and enjoy the enchanting Swiss scenery, as you drive along Lake Geneva
with views across to the French Alps. Head for the lush rolling dairy pastures of the Swiss countryside, famous for cheese
manufacturing. Visit Gruyères, a picture-perfect medieval town with a castle, set on a small hill. Return to the shores of Lake
Geneva to visit medieval Chillon Castle, former home to the Counts of Savoy, immortalised by Byron’s ‘Prisoner of Chillon’.
Continue along the Rhone Valley, whose high summer temperatures support vines and other fruits. The final stage of your
journey is by cogwheel train to the traffic-free mountain resort of Zermatt. At last, feast your eyes on the distinctive triangular
silhouette of the Matterhorn! Tonight, enjoy a stroll in the clean mountain air to your chosen restaurant on your Dine-Around

Free Time in Zermatt
Zermatt in summertime is a Shangri-la of leisure-time possibilities: try swimming or hiking or spend a whole day relaxing in
the clean mountain air. Perhaps take an optional ride on Europe’s highest cable car to the snow-capped roof of the world for
a magnificent panorama of the highest peaks in Switzerland, Italy and France-(Buffet Breakfast)

To Elegant Lake Lugano
Descend to Täsch and re-join the coach. Follow in the footsteps of Napoleon as you ascend the Simplon Pass, taking in
magnificent views over the Alps from the 2,000-metre summit. Cut through northern Italy, stopping on the gentle shores of Lake
Maggiore. Continue through to fashionable Lugano, beautifully located on the shores of its lake amid spectacular mountains.
Perhaps take a boat ride on serene Lake Lugano this evening for an Italian style dinner in a quaint fishing village-(Buffet
Breakfast)

Through the Grison Alps to Chic St. Moritz
Head north back into the high mountain country of the Grisons Alps today. Ascend the Julier Pass to arrive in the sparkling
Engadine Valley whose climate is characterised by clear skies. On arrival in the cosmopolitan resort of St. Moritz, a brief
orientation shows you the spa quarter and the museum house with its traditional ‘sgraffito’ façade. Then time to jostle with the
jet-set in the elegant boutiques!(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Scenic Train Ride, then on to Liechtenstein and Lucerne
Start the day with a scenic train ride along part of the route of the Glacier Express, across the Grisons Mountains and through
unforgettable scenes of ice-capped mountains, stone-built villages and lush meadows. At Chur, re-board your coach and
drive along the valley of the Upper Rhine to spend a while in Vaduz, the tiny capital of Liechtenstein. Then a beautiful drive
alongside the dramatic Walensee and Lake Zurich brings you to Lucerne. See the sorrowful sculpture of the wounded lion,
commemorating the brave Swiss guards who died defending King Louis XVI during the French Revolution.(Buffet Breakfast)

Ascent to the Summit of Mount Pilatus
There’s time this morning to stroll along lakeside promenades, shop for fine watches or perhaps hire a bicycle and enjoy a
pleasant ride besides the many lakes. Then embark on a thrilling trip by cable car and cogwheel railway to the summit of Mount
Pilatus, which offers stunning views over the lakes, countryside and surrounding hills. Afterwards, head back to Lucerne where
this evening you enjoy a farewell Celebration Dinner with wine.(Buffet Breakfast / Celebration Dinner)
